By purchasing from our online store, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully prior to making a purchase.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through the Fay Interior Design online shop.
1. Products
Fay Interior Design offers a curated collection of vintage, one of a kind furniture, décor, lighting, objects, and homewares.
Due to the nature of vintage and pre-loved pieces, all items are sold in as-is vintage condition. Each piece is carefully selected and described as accurately as possible.
As many items are one of a kind, availability is subject to change and we reserve the right to remove products or cancel orders where an item has been sold elsewhere, damaged, or is no longer available.
2. Vintage Condition Disclaimer
Our collection consists primarily of vintage, antique, and pre-loved items that may display signs of age, wear, patina, imperfections, repairs, colour variation, or minor inconsistencies consistent with their history and character.
These details are considered part of the uniqueness and charm of vintage items and are not regarded as faults.
We make every effort to photograph and describe items accurately, however:
colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and lighting conditions
dimensions are approximate only
minor imperfections may not always be individually noted or photographed
We encourage customers to review all imagery and descriptions carefully and contact us prior to purchase if additional information is required.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Payment for products is processed securely through our website checkout platform.
Orders will only be confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
We reserve the right to amend pricing, descriptions, or availability at any time without notice.
4. Collection & Local Delivery
Purchased items are available for pickup or local delivery by arrangement via email.
Following purchase, customers will be contacted to coordinate collection or delivery details.
Local delivery fees, where applicable, will be agreed upon separately.
Items must be collected within 7 days of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Items not collected within this period may incur a storage fee of AUD $20 per day.
If an item remains uncollected for an extended period and communication has ceased, Fay Interior Design reserves the right to cancel the order and relist the item at its discretion.
5. Shipping & Freight
If you require shipping outside of local delivery arrangements, please contact rachel@fayinteriordesign.com.auprior to purchasing to obtain a shipping quote.
Shipping costs are charged separately and are payable via bank transfer following purchase.
Fay Interior Design may assist in arranging third-party courier or freight services on behalf of the customer, however we do not directly provide shipping services.
All freight costs, courier charges, insurance (if requested), and associated transport fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
6. Damage in Transit
All items are carefully inspected and photographed prior to collection or dispatch.
Where a third-party courier or freight provider is engaged, risk and responsibility for the item transfers to the purchaser once the item has been collected by the courier.
If an item arrives damaged, customers must notify Fay Interior Design within 24 hours of delivery and provide photographs of:
the damaged item
packaging materials
any visible freight damage
We will make reasonable efforts to assist in communication with the courier provider, however claims relating to transit damage must generally be pursued directly with the courier service.
7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Due to the vintage, unique, and one of a kind nature of our products, all sales are final.
We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns for:
change of mind
incorrect selection
minor wear, patina, or age-related imperfections
colour variation
size or fit within a space
Please choose carefully and contact us prior to purchase with any questions.
8. Title & Ownership
Ownership of goods transfers to the purchaser only once full payment has been received.
Risk transfers to the purchaser upon collection, local delivery, or handover to a third-party courier, whichever occurs first.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including photography, styling, imagery, branding, copy, and design material, remains the property of Fay Interior Design and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without prior written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fay Interior Design will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, transport, handling, or use of products purchased through the online shop.
Customers are responsible for ensuring purchased items are suitable for their intended use and space.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
